I've been having a hard time tracking down the MOBO I originally wanted (Tuf x570 gaming plus wifi) due to inventory levels and it being sold out on Newegg, amazon, B&H Photo ect…. Anyone have some suggestions on a MOBO that would be a good match for a Ryzen 5 3600 AND HAVE a display port?

You don't need displayport on a board if you won't be buying an APU.

You also still don't need x570 for a 3600. I can understand why you may want it, but if your concern is that you won't be able to upgrade, wait for B550. B450 is still a fair way to go.

now I thought the display port  (if the monitor also has the connections) provides higher FPS than an HDMI port even the next gen HDMI ports

The motherboard display-out ports won't do anything provided that you aren't buying a cpu with a gpu on board (an APU)

All your graphics will be rendered through the dedicated gpu.

Soooo.... with this being my 1st build do I plug in the cable directly to the GPU and not the port on the back of the computer?

GPU ports will still be on the back of the computer, but yes

The specs on the graphics card show it was 2 displayports and the mother boards has it as well along with my monitor, why would I need an APU to use the dispayport if all three components have the option, could I not just bypass the motherboard and hook up directly to the GPU is nothing else?
