$1000 Gaming Laptop recommendation

Hi, I'm looking for a gaming laptop around $1000

im wondering if there are any specific model that's very good, and if there are any model that i should avoid

 

laptop will be mainly used for gaming, mostly RPG, non-competitive games

so high refresh rate is not needed but would be good to have

 

i will probably plug in external kb and mouse to use it, so the kb and trackpad is fine as long as they work

There are so many brands out there, but if you are going to be gaming for hours and hours on it, look for a laptop with good cooling soultions. Under $1000, if there are any new AMD laptops under that price coming out soon, might be good to get 1 of those. But if you want an great system from last year, the Acer Helios 300 was the king of 2019, with great specs and there are a lot of promos/discount under $1000.
