ASUS TUF VG27AQ vs Aorus AD27QD

Fictionvl

Hello LTT,

I'm in to get a new monitor for my setup and putting my current Asus PG258Q as a secondary monitor

and I've been in flames chosing between either the ASUS TUF VG27AQ or the Aorus AD27QD

both being 1440p though the Asus is 165Hz and Aosrus being  144Hz, now from what I've seen, I know that the colors that the Aorus preduces is so much better than Asus'

they're both at almost the same price point, only few bucks off so both are viable options to choose from.

Asus

I just need your advice on this.

While the AD27QD has a very slight advantage in color gamut and the panel bitrate, its poor black uniformity and slightly slower pixel response give the VG27AQ the edge imo.

The above link , and clicking on the 2 individual monitor reviews,  will give u all the information u need to to decide for urself.

I purchased two of the Asus recently.  Although the performance is stellar the colors did seem to be missing something when I got home.  I ended up returning  and  purchasing an Acer XB273k.  The price point is almost double so better performance is to be expected.  If you are just using to game, the Asus was fantastic.

Another option that is the same price in my area is

Asus ROG Strix XG32VQR

Has much better color, but is bigger.

Thats a VA panel so ofc its going to look somewhat better to the average person, contrast helps colors pop.

But the pixel response time is guaranteed to be slower.

Hardware Unboxed has a basic youtube review up, while not as good as a written review it covers things like the 'average' pixel response time and brings up a few issues.

32" is a little too much for my preference to be honest, I think I'm going to go with the Aorus one since its color gamut is just so much better, I went to my friend's house today to have a look at it actually and it was so beautiful and the response time isn't really that big of a deal to me.

thank you all though!
