HOLY MOLY VPN!?!?!

I was watching Tek Syndicate and he was talking about Private Internet Access as being his VPN.... and how his internet connection went from 50 down to 100 down...I was quite skeptical at first but when I went to speedtest.net, I was absolutely dumbfounded. After signing up for private internet access, I was getting 100Mb/s down (I usually pay for 50 down)!!!!

The thing is that Most ISPs are restricting your access to many services to things like Netflix and Hulu...Streaming with this VPN I found that Netflix streaming was more smoother on the VPN than on my verizon connection

No I'm with Verizon... Even though they claim that they don't throttle Netflix, it's easy to see using network diagnostics that the VPN uses the least congested route and had better success connecting to the servers with no apparent latency each time

VPNs don't actually make your internet faster. Encrypted traffic or not your ISP is still imposing a hard limit on any kind of traffic coming into your house.

And here I am, stuck with TWC. Charging $60/mo for 1 up, max 5 up for over $100.

Download speed means jack shit unless you're on fiber anyway. 100mbits/s TOPS = 12500KB = 12.5MB = download the average game in probably an hour in best-case scenarios, but you're probably paying well over $100 for that if it's even available to you. Upload speed is everything seeing as it's so rare to have a decent upload speed.

What amazes me more than that is people pay $70-80+ for roughly 300-400 hours of ad-filled cable television being streamed to you in 1 hour of real time, but you can watch more shows/movies in an hour/day/week on netflix, even hulu, for far less per month, let alone anually. I really want copper wire to just die, and every company involved with it as well.
