Hey guys! I've been watching Linus for about a year now and figured I'd get into the forums and start asking questions, so hopefully I don't sound like an idiot now. About 9 years ago I bought a gaming computer to go to college and it was awesome. It came with the mobo listed in the title of the post. Sometimes it would have boot loop issues and wouldn't post the first time around 2015. Then around 2017-8 it would constantly boot loop. It makes it to the Windows screen then cycles through. I can get into bios but I don't know where to go from here. Any suggestions? I thought it might be a bad board and wanted to replace it with the same board for nostalgia, but now they go for almost $1000 used and I'm not about to spend that on a board that is almost 10 years old. Thanks for any help in advance!

Hit F12 (Boot Menu) and select your boot device (called Hard Disk IIRC).

You ever reinstalled windows? Might just be an issue there. Have a spare drive around you could install windows on and see if it does it? If not that might be the easiest fix. There's plenty of other things it could be but what is the problem right now?

  • 3 weeks later...

Hey all, update to the issue. So I had it running stable for a few weeks. I was getting post code C1 which from Gigabyte was memory issues, so reseated cleaned and reseated RAM (also manual said to populate orange slots before black slots so changed to that as well). Back to post code C1, can RAM have intermittent issues?
