What's the deal with not being able to find a Titan black in stock? Since 780ti came out I wanted to upgrade my 290 to one but I didn't like the fact that it only had 3gb of vram, with my current setup I play at 1440 but I want to buy another 290 and a 4k monitor and that's why I didn't wanna go with 2 780ti cards because a lot of reviews I read said that the 780ti frame rate dropped to 0 in some cases because of the frame buffer filling up at 4k. Then I read about the titan black coming out and it basically being a 780ti with 6gb of ram and have looked forward to the release date so I could sli two of them together but I can't find anywhere with them in stock :(

It only got released a few days ago, and it normally takes a few to actually be available.

And where are you? Titan Blacks are due in stock on the 24th here in the UK

Titan Black cards have already been on sale in the UK and are mostly sold out.

Please don't get a Titan black for gaming, a 780 ti will get 99% the fps for $300 less.

He is doing high-res gaming though. Yes, the 780ti would still do decent. But that 6gb of vRAM at 1440p and beyond would be amazing.

As a wise man once said *cough* @Vitalius *cough* sometimes we just buy things that don't make sense because we are enthusiasts. Not because we actually think it's the best value for our money.

I'm just curios, what was the purpose of posting this?

to show you the vram usage at 4k on titans, 780ti's and 290's to help you decide what to do

I've read a lot of reviews and even games like far cry 3 at full settings in 4k use over 3gb so just think like a year from now 780ti in sli would probably still be powerful enough to play 4k but you wouldn't have enough ram I was gonna buy another 290 and crossfire them but its decided I'm buying two titan blacks
