between these cheaper options viotek GNV34DB vs sceptre C355W-3440UN, which one seems to be the better buy?

You're just going to have to find reviews for each, they should be pretty comparable in any event.

i dont trust amazon reviews since they compiled multiple items together but it seems like they share the same panel, right?

isn't one listed as 34" vs 35"?

Meant like actual video reviews

 

they'll share a panel from a more expensive name brand monitor in any event.

Find reviews by review sites, or forums.  There are other places than Amazon out there, you know. Like rtings.com or YouTube...
