imo that motherboard is way overpriced for what it is. i would either get a cheaper mobo like a maximus hero or a GD65 or go for socket 2011, also i find 128 gb ssd even for casual use isnt really enough would probably recommend 256gb.

but yeah hard to know what to suggest, you havnt listed what the system will be used for.

PC: Corsair 900D | Corsair AX860 | Maxmius VI Hero | i7 4770k | Corsair H100i | 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 2133 | Sapphire Radeon 7950 | Samsung 840 Pro 256GB | Win7 X64

HTPC: Silverstone GD05 Black | Corsair VS350W | AMD A6 5400K | AsRock FM2A75-PRO4-M | Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3 1600 | Samsung 840 128GB | WD Black 4TBx2 | Leadtek Winfast DTV2000DS | LiteOn BD\DVD-RW Combo | WIN7 x64/XBMC

If you are getting a 840 Evo get a 250GB or higher. The difference in performance between the 120GB and higher capacities is quite significant.

i know but im not really concerned about loading or start up times anythings better than the setup im using now

Ok you could definitely get a lot more by dumbing down things like the motherboard the extreme is really not worth it unless you are doing stuff with LN2.

yeah i got it because the OC capabilities and i might eventually bump up to 4 way SLI so the pci slots are useful

The OC capabilities? any z87 board gets basically the same OC most of the time if the chip has it, also 4 way SLI does not scale well you get about 5% more performance from each card after 2.

i like the naga because the keys on the side are great for mmos and fps's, i like the kraken for gaming because of the ear cups and mic ( I use a pioneer hdj-2000 referance headphones for editing), and the deathstalker ultimate is just for the switchblade ui

i know on both ends but i might do it later down the line, and the extreme comes with an OC panel you can put in the case, and preset OC's if your not satisfied with your performance you can quickly turn one on then off and it was only like $10 more than the formula so i figured i might as well

$10 more than the formula 0_o ok then get it but I would sell those 780's and get a new set of cards for SLI instead of doing 4 way SLI later on.

well for 1080P surround atm 2 780's is a good bet specially for 120Hz monitors.
