is it worth overclocking  if so any good how to

Enable PBO and you'll get the best of both single-core boost and multi-core boost. Manual overclocking of the 3950X is not worth it.

Pbo or mce is an option in your bios

PBO should be set to enabled as auto is disabled on most boards.

The most performance gains you will get from this system is running your XMP profile.

 

Ryzen processors are pushed to the max from auto-OC SenseMi technology. You won't really gain anything over PBO trying to OC manually like @5x5 had mentioned just above there.
