I think it's the reason that it's not working

If you don't want to buy an expensive psu (which I understand ) you could get a cx 450 for 40-35 bucks that's really good if you want

Or you can ask a friend if you can borrow their PSU

Hello, my computer has been recently rebooting when I am playing more GPU intense games such as Modern Warfare Warzone (and MW2 remastered), etc. Just out of the blue, reboots with no blue screen of death or error messages. I also play a lot of League of Legends but that doesn't ever seem to restart my computer. I have monitored my CPU and GPU temps while playing these games and they don't go above 70 degrees Celsius. I have also done a furmark stress test and the temps are fine although it still reboots my system. I have also installed the latest GPU, BIOS, and CPU drivers and cleaned inside my computer.

Here are my specs:

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB oc edition

CPU: AMD Ryzen 2700x

RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 8x2 3000 mhz

PSU: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W

MOBO: MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Any ideas on a fix?

Thanks!

Since your temps seem fine I'm assuming it's either a stray wire or something shorting out on your motherboard. I would just check again to make sure everything is seated correctly and there's nothing that would result in a short. Other than that it could be an issue with the PSU but that's rare with decent PSUs.

Hmm I just rechecked all my cables on my motherboard and it everything seemed to be in order. I also don't think its my psu either so I reckon its something to do with my cpu or gpu. I'm speculating it might be my graphics card overclocking too much and causing a reboot on my pc when I launch the games that strain my gpu.

Try cleaning GPU driver with DDU in safe mode. Reinstall driver after reboot. I recommend using the driver released with cod mw. Remember to disable windows automatic driver installation before doing above steps. If this won't help. Set memory speed, timings and voltage manually. If you can't find full timings table, download Aida 64. Here you can find it under SPD.

Ok I reinstalled my drivers with DDU but no luck. Could you walk me through on how to manually set the memory speed, timings, and voltages?

Thanks for the responses

I bought the PSU second hand  with the computer about 3 years ago so I'm not sure how long it has been in use for but I'm estimating no more than 7 years.

Holy shit

This is probably the cause

If you have a spare PSU try that and see

Is this the PSU? https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/Categories/Products/Power-Supply-Units/Professional-Series™-HX750-—-80-PLUS®-Silver-Certified-Modular-Power-Supply/p/CMPSU-750HX

If yes, then you might want to try out another one. If it's the case, then it's a 2010 model. Not that's a bad model, but there could be some issues on newer platforms.

Hey I was looking at the PSU you recommended (cx 450) and noticed the the cx 550 was only an $8 difference, should I just go for the cx550?

Okay then you might want to try without the HDD and with the HX 750.
