Weird screen vertical tear...

code99

I dont even know how to call this but ever since i bought this monitor and gpu (i bought them at the same time) ive been having this weird vertical tear every now and again.

Its like a small strip of the image is missing from the middle of the screen and is moved to the right of the screen. I made a video with my phone since this behavior doesnt show on screenshots and it will be much easier to understand what im talking about.

I never seen this, whats happening?

A reboot fixes the issue but its still annoying.

Have you tried to use a different cable? Also, Is there a way for you to test the monitor with something else to see if the problem is still there?

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Dont think its the cable, why would a reboot fix it? Either way i  dont have a 2nd cable to try

Also, this doesnt happen too often so testing the monitor on some other machine might be time consuming and really i wouldnt know if its fixed or not since it happens rarely.

Hoped someone would be familiar with this kind of issue. We'll see if others comment on this.

I’ve had multiple experiences in the past with monitors getting glitchy. The problem almost always fixes itself once the cable is replaced. Maybe someone else has a solution that won’t require you to buy a new cable that you could try first.
