It matter was graphics card you have for AMD go freesync and for nvida for gsync some monitors support both.

no the moniter it what you look at for the different sync amd gpu only have freesync and nvidia like ur 2060 super only has gsync

Oh I see so to clarify free sync wont work with my GPU? so am best chosen a g sync monitor

yes. the different syncs are referring to the monitors not the gpus and some have both

GSync is superior, it just costs more.

You keep contradicting yourself.

 

@Romans122 Your 2060 Super can support FreeSync, however FreeSync doesn't cover the same range as GSync. GSync is better, if you can afford it.

A GSYNC-native monitor is better because it has a dedicated module that can sync frames from max refresh down to 1 hz. HOWEVER, the advantage of Freesync displays is that Nvidia now also supports Freesync, which means Freesync works on both Nvidia and AMD for some displays. The disadvantage for Freesync in its current state is that it only goes down to around 40hz, and anything below that will see stuttering.

 

If you're getting a Freesync monitor and have an Nvidia GPU, check and make sure the monitor is compatible with GSYNC as well.
