Replacement internal HD audio lead.

Frizbe

So I just got my new 011 Dynamic XL and while getting the basic cable management taken care of I find this monstrosity of a cable lead.

Is this something I can replace myself or am I going to have to have the entire case replaced? I tried looking on Google real quick but I’m only finding internal hard drive replacements so I must be calling the wrong thing or it doesn’t exist.

Should be able to pull the front panel off or the top of the case, wherever the front panel audio plugs are and replace it. They should send you a new cable. Remember, every case was assembled at some point, so if it went together, it likely can come back apart. Unless... things are riveted together. Basically, just depends on the case.

That was my basic thought process. I can see the plug and that entire assembly just screws onto the front plate anyway. I’ll probably see if they can send me a replacement cable, I don’t use the headphone and mic jacks anyway but for a brand new case it’s a touch disappointing.

I have had a similar issue in the past with an Antec case, they sent me a new cable. I think it was a bad USB cable? Man, this was 15 years ago now... But yea, if the assembly comes out, should be easy to replace, and they should have replacements.
