does your router support QoS? you could try and prioritise your packets hopefully improve the quality.

Ah, damn! I guess there is only so much you can do. Seems you don't have much options within the router so it can't prioritise packets for your IP/MAC address. Either try something other that wireless or a different router with the feature to be able to prioritise.

Just noticed that i started getting this packet drop lately ( or could be my imagination ) could the fact that they started rolling out ipv6 connections?

If you type in your "default gateway" in a web browser, you will get to a webpage like this with all your router settings. Default password depends on your router, easy to find with a quick google search. yPgAYrr.jpg

Nothing came up? Not even the user/password thing?

*Also, that's a modem.

If you only have a modem, it's possible that your provider is blocking the port, try using a router.

Are you sure it's actually packet loss and not something else?

Well I tried doing a packet test online which failed, everything else passed, and in bf4 I often get the packet drop icon, so I'm pretty sure it's that

everyone in BF4 is getting that even if your connection is stable. so i will not worry about it.

you can't do any thing except call your ISP if you can't get in to your router.

You could ask the to roll back your MTU a little, 1472 is my choice.

check there are no power saving options enabled.

Also update all networking drivers on your PC.

You can't prioritise lost packets ;)

Can you use a tool called My Traceroute (mtr) and actually see where the loss is occurring definitively?
