Whilst monitoring one of my rigs, I've notice that two GPU's failed. After looking at the log,

Then logging into the Linux system, noting how slow to respond on the login screen and the start menu. I checked the CPU, and 3 out of the 4 cores were loaded. The HDD is an old 2.5" from a laptop, and wondering if it was this that was failing?

I also see you're running F@H, which is a huge resource-chewer. That might be your issue, perhaps indeed combined with the age of the HDD. If you can, see if an SSD makes a difference (it should, considerably!).

I've been screwed over by power saving getting enabled on Linux. It is likely that the Power Saving feature has become enabled and your system decided to go to sleep.
