I remember that f11 in chrome or it was I.E or another browser make the address bar hover when you move the cursor over it. Way back(relatively as in chrome and browsers). I find the setup right now quite annoying as I have to press f11 to exit locked full screen and change tab. Or it was a windows (whatever version before) thing, I am not sure but the result is you can press f11 and HOVER in the address bar in a browser and it would reappear, maybe chrome was what I used, because it is quite bloated at times when you want more screen and immersive. Or all this may just be a memeryception.

Is any way to this now? If any how? Both Mac and Windows would be helpfull as I use both. Finally was this just me or it did really existed

F11 puts the browser in to full screen mode. If you hovered your mouse over the top of the screen it will bring down the address bar. This still works in the most recent version of Firefox (75), however not in the latest version of Chrome.

I'm unsure if it works in MacOS.

I am assuming you mean firefox setting. Thanks, but firefox has it's own problems related to image zoom in and out especially with pdf as it is not smooth.

Can you remember if it was ever a thing in chrome? I wouldn't mind an extension.

On Mac, the keyboard shortcut is shown as Ctrl+Cmd+F. Unlike Windows and Linux it does not hide the address bar (at least on mine). Same behavior as the green "maximize" button.

I'm unsure if it ever worked in Chrome. I don't often use F11 when browsing or Chrome so I couldn't tell you.
