Different LVDS cable based on panel resolution ?

Andylawson

Hey All ,

I have a lenovo X260 which i bought for an incredible price :)

Issue i have is

I have always been able to save by buying a laptop with good specs but terrible screens, i have always just upgraded the panels is they ship with only HD.

I am completely stumped by this one i have bought & returned 3 X 1080P screens for this laptop and none have worked, had the most luck with 1 of them only powering up the backlight ?

Anyone ever heard of the LVDS cable being the reason a 1080P screen wont power up, i have never had this issue before and it cant be 3 screens, is an LVDS cable only able to push a certain resolution ?

if someone has an X260 with factory 1080P could they give me thier model number so i can try a new cable ?
