Need more m.2 slots without sacrificing RAM slot

FlashBerry

Hello LTT!

Is it possible to add more m.2 SSD slots to my rig without giving up my RAM slot. I've only got one real m.2 slot on my pc and I cant use a SATA cable for a regular ol' ssd as the 6 pin SATA power cable I had is gone forever (lost) and it is discontinued for my power supply. I don't want to give up a stick of my RAM because I've only got 4 RAM slots with 16 gb total of my ram which I would like to keep that way. I only have one graphics card. Is there something out there where I can use a pci_e to put multiple m.2's in the same slot? Also is there any way i can use my v-NAND SSD (860 evo) [Regular ssd] without a power cable.

Regards and with love,

This isn't how dimm.2 works. Dimm.2 is different to a DDR4 dimm, it's a seperate slot. If you want to add more m.2 SSDs, you can buy something like this:

Good solve!

M.2 has nothing to do with RAM, or are you talking about Asus' Dimm.2 Slot? That's also not related to ram at all, only that it's next to it and looks similar.
