Good Camera?

Helloo, I'm looking for a camera in the $200-300 dollar range. I can stretch a little but only if it's really worth it because at about $100 a month, it's going to take about two months to get. I need it to take pictures of my PC (build logs etc.) and the occasional visit to foreign lands. I have no idea what good cameras are in this price range and any help is appreciated. This will be a HUGE upgrade from my phone (S4) which is just bad.

Either, not too used and preferably eBay. Though new is of course prefered.

On eBay you should be able to snag a used Canon t2i for that pretty easily. That's the one I'd go for. Just watch the shutter count.

A mirrorless camera like a Sony NEX would give wicked pictures as well.

What is the difference between the two in terms of mirrors? Does that make anything better or worse?

Mirrorless cameras don't have a mirror. Hence the name

Unless you mean do the mirrors themselves make things better or worse.

Honestly at your age I'd invest in a DSLR and master it. It comes in handy in so, so many different scenarios.

Plus ladies dig a photographer.

Honestly the NEX series of cameras can take pictures as well as, if not better than entry level DSLRs. The DSLR's are easier to control (more knobs) and have more lenses available.
