Hey all,

I have a small "problem" I'd like your advice on.

I just built a gaming rig. Everything went OK and it's posted, but I hit a small snag, and I'm not sure what's the "best" solution.

My case is a Corsair iCUE 220T RGB TG Gaming Case. It comes with 3 fans on the front. I also bought a Corsair Hydro Series H100i RGB PLATINUM (240mm) Liquid CPU Cooler, which I planned to mount at the top in a push config, with another case fan on the back. So that would be 3 in, 3 out.

The problem I hit is that the RAM gets in the way of the radiator, or specifically the fans attached to the radiator. It's only like a 5mm overlap, but it's enough to mean I can't mount the radiator at the top.

My new plan/setup is to mount the radiator on the front in a pull config. Have 2 case fans on the top pushing out, and the 3rd fan on the back also pushing out. This is what I have currently built and seemingly works.

My worry is will this cause any issues? Specifically, I've heard push is better than pull. So should I push out of the front, and reverse the top/back fans to pull in instead? Another potential reason for doing this is I won't pull in "hot" air off of the CPU radiator into the case.

Any thoughts/experiences here? Nothing to worry about as any hot air that does get it is immediately ejected by the top/rear fans?

A thought I had was to just run the radiator with 1 fan instead of two, but I think this is a pretty stupid idea 😂

Thanks

According to an LTT video there is no noticeable, functional difference in push vs pull configs. The king of the roost is of course push-pull, just make sure your intakes are all filtered and if you're going to have an odd number of fans, make sure to make the odd one be a pull
