I have been having consistent problems trying to get my ram to run in dual channel with the MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon mobo, and G.Skill Trident Z Royal 16GB (2x8GB) dual channel ram kit which I checked is compatible with my mobo on their website. The problem is that i can boot up the pc with either ram installed on DimmB2 but not both installed on DimmA2 and DimmB2 which is what the manual tells is the right configuration.

I have already replaced both the ram and mobo and had the same exact problem. Also if I place the ram slots in DimmB1 and DimmB2 the pc will boot but this isnt dual channel.

I have tried many things like clearing my cmos, checking the cpu for bent pins, checking my cpu cooler for uneven pressure, unplugging everything except my cpu and ram, updating bios, and some other things I cant remember at the moment.

When I try to run the ram in dual channel everything turns on and the fans spin up but the EZ Debug light keeps switching between CPU and DIMM and never boots.

Yes, did it twice cause I cleared cmos

That's quite strange. I guess it might be a CPU issue?

Try running the system barebones with both sticks, see if that helps.

If not, I guess RMA the CPU?

Doing that now, I'll follow up when it comes in

Forgot to mention that I already tried to run it bare bones and no change, I have already sent the cpu back and a new one will be coming in later this week. Also when I removed the cpu there was some discoloration on the pins located on the bottom left.
