NZXT H440 build w/ MSI & Corsair H100i - Alpha Seed

 I saw the NZXT H440 and immediately fell in love with it and knew I would be encasing my next build in it!

 

As for myself, I just started to get into computers, at least the building of them at the start of January and this will already be my second build.

 

My uncle builds a new computer about once every 2-3 months, so I guess you can say we share the same blood.

 

For this build I'm using the following: 

 

MSI GTX 760 2gb Twin Frozor Gaming OC edition
MSI Z77A gd65 gaming
Intel i5 2500k 3.5GHz OC @ 4.20GHz
Benq XL2420TE 144hz 
Corsair H100i
 
What's on order:
Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500
 
 
Future plans?
New GPU. As their are no block for the MSI GTX 760. Thinking about an EVGA. 
Build a custom loop for the GPU.
Black coolant, will look so sick with the contrast of the white case.

corsair cooler in a NZXT case something just seems wrong here.... but awesome build non the less

I know I know, in a perfect world I would have bought a Kraken, but my local shop had the H100i on sale for $90 so it was a steal at that price. When I go to liquid cool I'll probably buy the Kraken.

How about instead of black coolant, you do black tubing with plain distilled water. Coolant die gunks up your loop faster. 

 

Very true and a good point! As much as I'd love to have a black coolant, I think the smartest thing to do in regards to long term maintenance and performance is to do exactly what you've suggested. I guess I'll have to compromise aesthetics for those reasons alone.

Shouldn't look too different. Only thing really is the reservoir will be clear water. In my loop (Also in a H440) i'll be doing white tubing and my reservoir (MC Res Micro) will probably be hidden. Also have you considered getting a block for your CPU to? You could sell your H100i (When the time comes) and to a full custom loop.

I have thought about a full custom loop, when the time comes that I plan on doing it, I'll see where I stand financially. That would be the deciding factor in just cooling the GPU or going for a full custom loop.

This case would look even sicker with custom water cooling and some cover panels.

I happen to have a friend that has his own air brush studio, I may be talking to him sometime in the near future to see what kind of work he could come up with for the case!

Ahh that really sucks man, I can tell this is a hot case right now. I ordered mine from NCIX and it was delivered next day. I guess I got extremely lucky :o
