GTX 970 Streaming Rainbow Six

So I'm trying to figure out what to stream Rainbow Six Siege with, my GPU or my CPU. I have a gtx windforce 970 and a i7 8700k 3.7 GHz. I'm not sure to use Nvenc New because I have a older card or stick with x264 because I have a decent CPU. I'm trying to stream 720p at 60FPS with 5000 kbs and I just want to make sure that I'm not lagging and that the stream isnt lagging. Look ahead is on and so is Psycho Tuning which do take up more gpu. I'd also like to run Rainbow Six on Vulkan for better performance and targeted fps but I can run the normal version. Thank you for helping in any way in advance !

Depends on how that game runs. May have a lot of cpu to spare for the stream.
You’d need to try both to compare. May end up settling on the gpu though. Seen it used via shadow play on a 980 and it wasn’t bad at all.

Main RIg Corsair Air 540, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz

I'll go and test both of them and see which one is better for streaming
