I hope im right here, otherwise move the threat if that's possible?

Anyways, hey guys.

I recently got myself a MacBook Air 13 inch 2018 version and im searching a backpack with a porch thick enough to protect it.

It doesn't need to be too big since im only really packing cables, dongles (obviously), battery bank and hard drives.

It would really needed to be well built, since im the type of guy rocking the same bag for 10 years if possible.

Price up to 80 Euros is fine for me, im fine with paying more if the quality justifies it.

I hope someone of you guys got a tip.

Thanks a lot guys, and stay safe!

So more or less “I own a laptop.  I want a backpack with it’s own porch”

Like a Ceder porch?  A screen porch?  You realize a porch is something normally attached to a building...

do you mean “pouch” as in a protective foam lined sleeve to keep the laptop from being damaged?  This makes much more sense.  I will continue to imagine a backpack with a house attached to it because my brain rolls like that.  (See my comment on ‘can I go to the bathroom’ and exploding children).

I mostly hate autocorrect.

2 kinds: removable and non removable.  I prefer non removable myself because it makes things simpler.  The only part that actually needs drop protection is the part for the actual laptop. The peripherals are more resistant.  Closed cell foam tends to be a lot more protective than open cell foam.  I’d call 3/8” closed cell a bare minimum.  Vinyl tends to suck and “bonded leather” is actually substandard vinyl.  There are bunches of brands.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Brand tends to be a bit fly by night, and isn’t a great predictor of quality.  I don’t really get this brand thing.   One would want to look at individual items.  Swiss gear was well thought about for some time.  Their thing is high weight ballistic nylon and a lot of zippers.
