Not bad! But I am not sure I would even get the firecuda. I assume that would be for games? You can get a 1 TB SSD for not much less, or a larger 7200 RPM drive.

When I got my WD blue it was 90 bucks... https://www.amazon.com/Blue-NAND-1TB-SSD-WDS100T2B0A/dp/B073SBQMCX/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=1tb+ssd&qid=1587886119&sr=8-7

Which to that point, may be worth going with a 1 TB NVMe drive or a 1 TB SATA SSD and not get the firecuda at all. Then once the SSD is filling up, get another SATA SSD for more games.

OR this? https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-BarraCuda-Internal-Drive-3-5-Inch/dp/B07H2GY8ZS/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=3tb+hard+drive&qid=1587886260&sr=8-3

i think SSHD is unnecessary with an SSD, i would rather go for 2TB 7200RPM drive as 1TB is not enough these days considering the huge size of games.

I did thought of that too but the loading time on a SSHD is better? The only headache I am facing is which to get.

Yea it's for games. Ooo I see, I live in Malaysia so a 1TB ssd is quite an amount. 1TB NVMe is just rm15 more if I remove the SSHD. Would that be  a better choice or getting a 2TB Toshiba 7200rpm hdd?

Depends. If I were you, I would get the NVME drives. You could always add hard drives down the line should you need more storage.

Main Rig :

Ryzen 7 2700X | Powercolor Red Devil RX 580 8 GB | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 | 16 GB TeamGroup Elite 2400MHz | Samsung 750 EVO 240 GB | HGST 7200 RPM 1 TB | Seasonic M12II EVO | CoolerMaster Q300L | Dell U2518D | Dell P2217H |

Laptop :

Thinkpad X230 | i5 3320M | 8 GB DDR3 | V-Gen 128 GB SSD |

Thanks for the advice!

NVMe is nice, but if you can find a SATA SSD for less money, it’s honestly just as good. It’s theoretically slower, but for a gaming machine (basically anything besides a server for a machine doing serious scientific computation) the user will never notice a difference in speed.

NVMe is great, and I am not saying don’t get one. BUT, if you can find a more affordable SATA SSD which would allow you to maybe get a 1TB and save a few bucks, that’s a good option as well.

The cost of NVMe is apparently cheaper for the SATA SSD from the shop I am going to buy from.

Interesting... but hey, that just means more performance for less money.
