Wechat help.

At the moment, I'm attempting to become a Xiaomi Mi Explorer, I've already been selected, now all I have to do is join the WeChat group message.  This is proving to be a LOT harder than I expected with the whole "verification" process.  So basically I have to find somebody who has WeChat and meets all these different requirements in order for them to verify my account, WeChat users are extremely rare outside of China I've come to find out.  If anybody happens to know a way around this or is willing to give up their verification, I would be much obliged.  Sorry if this is already a topic, and if there are tons of people begging for a verification.

How do you give a verification?  Do you already have a wechat account?  That's really bizarre.

You shoudn't need to know someone who has wechat to use wechat.  Tail wagging the dog.

 

My wechat ID is the same as my username.  I am NOT Chinese btw.

When I signed up, all you needed was an email or something.

They changed it A LOT apparently, now you have to know somebody in order to sign up.  Now there's this beautiful process.  The activated WeChat Pay condition only applies to Mainland China users.
