Pc Gaming build help! Amd 9 3900x vs 7 3800X vs 7 3700X vs i7 9700k

Hello guys, first time here!

So im gong to build a new gaming pc, its basicly for gaming only at 1080p, 144hz and while im running the games i listen to music or use discord, or sometimes when i die i alt tab and search something on google or continue to watch a movie or something. So i've been wondering around for the last week about what cpu should i get, my last gaming computer had an i5 4670 3.4ghz + gtx 1660 super, and while I was playing games the cpu would get close to 100% usage and so if I alt tabbed or would go to discord I just coulnd't and it would take for ages to load something. So Im kinda afraid of going for the i7 9700k + msi rtx 2060 super oc 8gb and that problem happens again.. and I started to research about the amd cpus and right now they are amazing, they seem to have better fps stablity + less cpu % usage (way less) and are cheaper!

So my ultimate question is... should I get the i7 9700k or im just trhowing away some money and should pick the amd ryzen, but if so, wich amd should i get? amd 9 3900x its probably an overkill, but between the 7 800X and the 7 3700X, and keep in mind i dont mind spending and extra 100 bucks for the 800x-700x diference price.

btw will there be botle neck ?

Sounds like you'd be better off with a 3600/x. You won't see any real gains from the more expensive CPUs, aside from boosts you'll see with the 9700k, but at a significantly higher cost. Really, you should be waiting for Ryzen 4000.

go with a ryzen 3600 plus a 5700/xt, or wait for the 4600 and the sucessor of the 5700/xt coming in a few months. Remember the GPU metters much more than the CPU while gaming. Also go with the STOCK cooler if you go AMD. also get 3600 mhz cl 16 RAM for ryzen

Do you know when will be the release of the ryzen 4000?

But for the future shouldn't I pick the 7 3800x ?

a 9700k at this point is good, but not justifying the money.

anything above a 3700x is overkill.

i would recommend a 3600 or 3600x. not that expensive, good bang for buck, and lasts pretty long.

also maybe waith until the 4k AMD Cpus come out

stuff is cool. stuff that has fancy lighting is cooler. stuff that has fancy lighting and works is the coolest.

i game so i know a bit abt gaming tech, not much abt professional tech.

writing this as i finish a 3 hour D2 sesh so excuse anything wrong.

But for future proof, shouldn't i get the 7 3800x? i dont mind pay a little bit more if it gets better, also why should i keep the stock cooler? isn't the corsair better??

yeah id go with a 3700x. its good enough. not sure about a 3800x

also the 3700x comes with the Wraith Prism stock cooler which is actually pretty good imo and you should use it.

stuff is cool. stuff that has fancy lighting is cooler. stuff that has fancy lighting and works is the coolest.

You can stream with the GPU. The stock cooler is just amazing. totally not worth it getting an aftermarket cooler, especially an aio

Summer sometime I believe.

It doesn't make sense to build that way. You're better off buying the cheaper processor and then upgrading again later on.
