All-purpose/gaming PC recommendations?

Go to solution Solved by boggy77,

if you have the storage already, the build below should be around recommended requirements and it's a good budget gaming pc, easy to upgrade.

I am planning to build my first custom PC, mainly for daily use, but also some gaming to the side. I want the motherboard to have audio line-in, as well as Wi-Fi.  One of the games I want to play, X-Plane 11, recommends an Intel Core i5-6600K at 3.5 GHz or faster, and "a DirectX 12-capable video card from NVIDIA, AMD or Intel with at least 4 GB VRAM (GeForce GTX 1070 or better or similar from AMD)", as quoted directly from their site. Other than that, I'll probably be running Minecraft.  I will be running Windows 10 off a 128GB M.2 NVMe SSD, with a 500GB Seagate Momentus Thin Laptop Drive as data storage. I want to use this build for at least 5 years. I'll take case recommendations (it has to be fairly easy to set up). My budget is around $300-400 (US).
