Soooooo, hi! I've been using my Corsair H80 on my i5-2500k for a while now since the stock cooler wasn't doing its job.

And I still think I'm not getting the temps I'm suppose to, I've seen others using the same setup with temps under 30C.

I've replaced the thermal paste once and still I'm not getting my target temp :(

i5 2500k  under 30 on idle? Haha no. That is just wrong. They probably had very low ambient temps.

those temps look reasonable to me. 35 idle is probably about average but 56 under load max is very strong acceptable temp

Idle temps typically don't change much with water cooling and are dependant on things such as ambient temps. What's your load temp? That's the most important.

Feel free to PM for any water-cooling questions. Check out my profile for more ways to contact me.

my 4770k on an asus formula board with a coolermaster 120 AIO had higher idle temps (also around the 30c mark) than my 4770k (a different one) on my gigabyte board with the stock intel cooler (which were in the low to mid 20's)
