Hi all, I am doing a bit of research into which way the CPU fan should really be facing.

In a bare bones basic gaming pc with a stock cooler, what direction should the air be flowing, away from the heat sink or into it?

I have heard arguments on both sides but I want to know if anyone has a link to any studies or videos that might help, or even your own personal opinion on it!

Either can be optimal depending on the components in question.

Downdraft is better for pushing air through the motherboard components and cooling them directly whereas updraft can be better for exhausting heat if the case otherwise has lack of exhaust options.
