I have bought a new case for my pc and have tried to switch them, but when i try to start it up, the motherboard's lights are the only thing to turn on. I don't think any parts are faulty as i was grounded when switching and every thing was working fine earlier today. I have double checked my connections. And ensured my power button and reset button are properly installed. I am running a Asus B450m -A motherboard with a and Ryzen 5 2600 prossesor with 2 4 gigabyte of ddr4 ram and a 750+ watt power supply from evga

You installed motherboard standoffs, right? Something could be shorting out if you didn't.

Double check everything is plugged in properly, both inside and outside.

Double-check all your cables then. Any error codes/readouts on the motherboard? If so, what are they?

I don't have one of those beepers. I did just double check my psu at both ends (its modular) still nothing

Not necessarily a beeper, it should be something as basic as some labeled LEDs or maybe a little eight-segement display.

If my motherboard from 2010 has the debug LEDs then your motherboard should have at least some of those.

You did check obvious things like if your monitor is plugged in, right?

Do any fans spin?

No fans or nothing. Yep it's plugged in. Only motherboard is lighting up.

No idea then, you probably zapped something. Hard to diagnose beyond this unless you have components to swap in and test.
