Well unless the manufacturer of the power supply is complete crap, then all that would happen would be that it would shut off the system for the power supply. If you push the GPU too hard then it will freeze for a bit while it resets the drivers. So I wouldn't think there would be anything to worry about.

Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 XC Ultra 16 GB of Corsair Vengence Gigbyte B450 Aorus Pro EVGA Supernova 650 G3 Thermaltake V200 TG RGB

thanks for your reply.

this 1030gt gpu is overclocked already. does it require more power than a normal 1030 or has it the same requirements ?

edit  : there is a made in china label written on the psu. i dont know if those units are reliable or not.

does the gpu have power cable in it?

otherwise the gpu will only draw 75w from the pcie slot. That said you can overclock without the gpu using more than 75w. Rest of yiur system likely consume around 100w so its 175w. it will be just fine

Wouldnt be any problem. I would tho look for a mini 1050ti or something more powerful than a 1030. What does the 1030 cost?

EDIT: Which version of the 1030 is it too? There are 2 diffrent versions, the older one with gddr5 and a newer released 1030 with gddr4.

Hello.

I think its the GDDR5 with 2gb memory and silent low profile.  With PCI-E 3.0.
