media pc?

When l put my gaming computer together i got a gtx 1060 but then ended up just going for and got the rtx 2080ti. 

 

So I'm thinking of making a media PC with the gtx 1060, would this be a good GPU for 4k movies and other couch media? and would the AMD 1600AF be a good fit?

You can run 4K video through a GTX 750 Ti. A 1060 is way more than capable. The 1600 AF is a solid chip for what you're doing. If anything, overkill.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Any integrated GPU on any AMD or Intel CPU in the last ~4 years would be more then fine for this. And would use a lot less electricity :)
