So my pc is getting pretty old (6-7 years now) so its time for an update.

I live in Belgium so everything is in Euro.

This is the build I configured in PC part picker and I'd like to know if it makes sense to do it this way

image.thumb.png.d66afa1ef58324b0cc5c3ea7b3003671.png

I'll use it for gaming (LoL, Blade & Soul, Code Vein and some other single player games).

At the moment I use 2 1080p monitors so thats also something to keep in mind (1 for gaming 1 for web/youtube/..)

There might be an upgrade to 1440p in the next year.

There will be some 3D CAD too.
My hope is that this build will last another 5 years.

For budget I'd like to keep it below 1500.

Looking forward to your comments and/or suggestions :)

do you really need 6tb storage and overpiced samsung ssd? for gaming i would invest in a stronger gpu

SSD I could go to 500 instead of 1TB but the storage is something I need.
At the moment I got 14 TB of stuff but I'll be moving a lot of stuff to somewhere else.

Do you have a suggestion for a good OS SSD?

The 2700X doesn't really make much sense to purchase nowadays, unless you only do tasks that can utilise all 16 threads, where it would be only around 10% faster than the 3600. For your use case, the 3600 is the superior choice.

B450 A PRO MAX doesn't support 3600 MHz RAM.

Maybe with Zen and Zen+ it doesn't, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with Zen 2.

Thanks for the feedback.
one thing I probably should have mentioned.
I use an nvidia shield for my tv and do steam games to it.

This kind of locks the GPU choice down to nvidia

This is a better build

I'm wondering why the B450 for 130.95 when there's an X470 for 129

I thought X470>B450
Don't see many important feature differences tho.

More USB, PCI and USB ports/slots
