WFH + Distance Learning crew

Been about 3 weeks so far and my kids school finally began distance learning. May daughter is 6 and she's in kindergarten, and my son is 8 and is in the 3rd grade.

 

Some of it is online for my son, which is easy, but my daughter's is mostly packet handouts.

 

My son is largely able to manage it on his own, as he already reads really well because he's older. But my daughter is at the very early stages of reading and writing, so it's a challenge.

 

I'm working from home right now, and my wife has to go into the office. So I'm managing work, meals, chores, and teaching at once. 

 

I realize that others have it much worse, so I'm not really complaining, but just wanted to reach out to other WFH/Distance Learning people out there.

 

How's everyone doing?

I get much less work than I would at school, I just have to learn it myself so it takes me about the same amount of time.

 

 

Not that bad, I really like it. I can wake up later than usual, chill until the afternoon, work for a few hours, and then chill a bit more. Repeat that throughout the week.

no, i'm blessed that i can work from home right now. a lot of people i know either have no jobs at all or have to go in.

just got off a zoom parent after-meeting for my daughter.

 

haven't seen the parents in months. everyone gained weight, including me
