Will my psu work

I have a ryzen 5 3600 and a 5700 xt 8gb. The box on the 5700xt says a minimum of 600w is needed. I have bought a 500w evga power supply. Will this psu still work?

EVGA usually makes good quality PSU, so the answer is likely yes. But if can provide us the exact model it would be great.

The most lower tier EVGA Psus arent great. It will probably work but might lack Protections.

Just to be safe, I would buy another one at least 80+ bronze rated.

Corsair, EVGA and Seasonic are the brands I usually recommend.

wouldn't say that, there are some 80+ Bronze PSUs which are also not very good.

I won't really say that. AMD Ryzen CPUs are actually ALOT more efficient than Intel CPUs of similar performance.

 

5700XT Draws about the same power as the 2070 Super it goes up against, about 220w.
