I was choosing an upgrade from my Microsoft ComfortCurve 3000, and I stumbled upon 2 keyboards that I’m considering. What are your opinions on the typing or gaming experience *ONLY* of these 2 keyboards. I am going for a price range of $50-60. If you have any other recommendations, please let me know.

Yes, I wanted to know about membrane v mechanical

It's a personal preference kind of thing, some like membrane better than mech, and that's all right. One thing  to note, most mech keebs will last much longer than membrane boards, also with mechs you can choose a type of switch you want, tactile, clicky or linear. With membrane you can't do that.

As an alternative to Corsair K63 I would recommend : https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Alloy-FPS-Pro-Ultra-Compact/dp/B074F5L8GQ better build quality and standard bottom row which enables you to change keycaps later in the future, Corsair also has same quality (shitty) keycaps and they will start to shine, with Corsair you can't change caps easily due to non standard bottom row, you must buy expensive caps from Corsair, with Hyper X you can just buy pretty much any set of caps and you're good to go. 9 bucks over your budget, not sure if your budget is set in stone, if it is, i can recommend something cheaper.

Have you used any mech keebs btw?

Unfortunately I have never used mech. I wanted to break in with a new similar keyboard. I have a friend who has recommendations for me, but he’s rich so he has a multi $100 keyboard.

Well, if he has a few keebs maybe he could lend one of his for you to try out? As an alternative you can wait out the quarantine, go to some stores and try a few keebs there, find what you like. You can get a decent keyboard for around 100, no need to spend multiple hundreds for that. What is he recommending for you? And what kind of keyboard he owns that cost multiple hundreds?

Pretty sure he has an expensive Steelseries, about $250. I’ll talk to him.

Corsair K55

Corsair K63

All comes down to preference, and does the keyboard offer what you want feature wise.  First recommendation is to try them both in person, or at least something similar, at a local retailer.  Not sure where you're located, but right now is a bit more difficult to do that for some regions.  K63 comes with Cherry MX red switches, and just about every Corsair keyboard offers that switch type.  Cherry MX Reds are linear, and will have the same actuation force all the way through; naturally feel more solid through the stroke.  K55 will have membrane switches, which as best as I can describe, a soft progressive force, then drop actuation style.  Let me know if you have questions about either of these.
