Is BF1 worth getting still?

I have heard that BF1 is a great game and its currently on sale for around $7 but I have heard the servers are quite dead although i live in Europe which apparently has more active servers? I am wondering whether it is still worth picking up for the very low price that it is at the moment. I have also looked at BF5 but have heard that it isnt very good but I really enjoy games set during the World Wars so would that be worth picking up too?

In the base game, the singleplayer campaign takes about 4-5 hours and it's pretty good. I'd say that alone is worth the $7. 

 

No idea how lively multiplayer is right now, but I'd be shocked if there aren't at least a few thousand people playing on PC. You should be able to find games.
