Static while in game?

I have abit of a weird audio set up for my ps4 and have been getting some static during gameplay, it is a new setup but it is a stange one.

I have a ps4 slim i have a hdmi into a hdmi audio extractor i have astro a40 with mixamp i run a usb c from the mixamp to the ps4 and a audio optical cable from the mixamp to the hdmi audio extractor. Would this cause the static.

try twisting any volume knob in the link many times. Could be dry potentiometer...
