When downloading files from the internet into my pc, my Ethernet speeds bounce between 80 and 120 mbps. I should have faster internet because when I run a speed test (on my phone through WiFi) it’s in the upper 2-300s. I have a cat 6 Ethernet cable running from the box to the computer. Why is it so slow (relatively, I know some people have it a lot worse). I feel as if I should be getting a lot faster downloads

This is probably a server side issue. Your internet will only download files at the rate the server feeds it.

Example: I recently downloaded Unigine Superposition from the Unigine website. Normally my internet runs at 300 Mbps, but a 1.2 GB download took 30 minutes because of a server-side bottleneck.

Should be getting 400

Tho when you do your speed test your hitting that ? I would imagine you should also be hitting it with WiFi as well. Also other two would be right, i have a 1gbps connection and only downloading game do i ever max it out (steam is hit and miss depending over server loads at the time).
