Upgrading PLEX on FreeNAS 11.2

Hello to you reading this. I am a noob at FreeNAS and PLEX. I built a NAS and installed all of the necessary software and got PLEX running on my NAS. Its been a great 2 years. Recently went to the plex website to watch some shows, it wouldnt let me navigate my server and said Update you plex media server and prompted a rar file to download. I barely have the computer know how and the help of YouTube to get the server and plex running and setting up SMB permissions. I have no clue how to update the Plex Web for my server. If anyone could help me i would surely appreciate it.

So you have Plex installed as a plugin? 

 

It should normally update as part of the system. Check System > Updates

 

If theres no updates available, then go to Jails > Click on '...' next to your Plex Jail and open Shell

 

Type 'pkg update' and then 'pkg upgrade'. That will update the Jail to the latest maintained by the jail maintainer. 

 

Once its updated, then restart the plugin from Plugins > Installed
