High ram usage at desktop

Hey guys, when I've been using the desktop, with like 10 chrome tabs open, I use 11GB of ram. That seems awfully high to me, even considering how much ram chrome uses. Any solutions/fixes?

Looks about right based off the size of your tabs and the fact that Steam and discord are running, as generally speaking Windows uses ~4GBs of RAM Steam + Discord are using ~1GB leaving Chrome using a not so insane 5GBs of RAM.

it says 11GB in use, which I find kind of strange. Wouldn't this mean that people with 8GB of ram would be constantly full?

I have 10 tabs open, which seems kinda strange for 5GB of ram

No the RAM gets compressed and if necessary less of the OS is loaded into RAM.

You likely have one or more particularly large tabs in RAM.
