PS4 NAT TYPE FAILED

When I try to connect or set up my wifi connection on my ps4, it says NAT TYPE FAILED ( when testing the connection) . It had never happened before and I don’t know why this suddenly happened. I tried connecting my ps4 with another wifi ( hotspot of my cellular network) and it worked just fine. So apparently it is only happening with my WIFI. Please help!

Login to your wifi router and make sure NAT (Network Address Translation) is turned on would be a start, also might be worth rebooting the router in case it just needs that.

You'll need to connect to your home router and make sure UPnP is enabled.

I tried enabling UPnP but it doesn’t work.

Well how do i that? Though it should be enabled because it has been working fine for years . It just happens to happen today

Alright, I would try to reboot the router first, you can usually do it in the web interface or just unplug to power wait a few seconds and plug it back.

Did that doesn’t work. What could possibly be happened? It worked fine for ever why now?

Your PS4 is the only device on your network that can't access the internet?

Are you able to access the PS Store or play online even with the NAT TYPE FAILED error?

Yes i am able to access the PS Store and successful go online in games. Though everything that involves OTHER GUYS like checking their profiles and looking who is online and stuff is really slow if u get what i mean. It takes time for their profiles to load in , takes time to see whose online . Everything is really slow

You have two choice, try to find a way to enable UPnP on your router or put your PS4 in a DMZ.

I need to exact model. Basically you need to find a way to turn UPnP on or look for DMZ and you can add your PS4 mac address there.

Brother i did turn on UPnP and added my PS4 in DMZ it doesn’t work
