E-GPU Recommendations

Hey so I've been looking into getting an E-GPU for my Macbook Pro 13 2017. I have it boot camped partition to windows for gaming so I'm not really worried about compatibility with OSX. I have an older r9 290 lying around that I would like to use, not going for the top of the line, just want a boost to my games. Does anyone recommend a simple and relatively affordable E-GPU that would work? I don't really know much about them and I'm getting confused looking around.
