Does anyone know if they make fan controllers with RPM readouts, that I can actually turn off the fans with?

I'm gonna try it in a bit to check how warm things get over time, but I think for browsing/ etc I can turn my fans off and passively cool via air rising in my case through my top 480.   I don't plan on doing this 24/7 but I think it'd be a neat science experiment without actually tearing my sidepanel off and unplugging everything.

Before someone asks, I can't control 3 pin fans with my board via AI suite and fan xpert 1.0, so that doesn't work for me either :c

I read the quick little description and it said it allows an "off" mode which I believe is what you are looking for :D

"The LCD touch screen has seven colors to chose from so you can match your theme. The CoolTouch even allows an off mode so you can go dark when wanted."

I dont think the "off" command is for the fans; rather the LCD function.

@Nunnya Business @tryphaa  Do you think if I messaged performance pc's about this: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_48&products_id=37478

And asked if it could turn fans off, if they'd test and tell me?

If it can't I can just get the one you guys linked

I would, I would also check if frozencpu.com has it too and email them, just to double check. I dont see why you wouldnt be able to turn the fans off at all in the first place with a fan controller.

I was always under the assumption you could do it, but I guess you learn something new everyday.

@Nunnya Business @tryphaa

They messaged me back, said the g-vans one can turn the fans off, and it has 2 extra channels over the aerocool which is nice, since I have 8 fans on y splitters that make them need 4 channels, so I'll have 2 extra if I ever decide to add more fans later on

Lamptron makes them. You can turn the fans off too.

Yeah they don't make it anymore :(

You can find a lot of these on ebay though, depending on if you want used fan controllers or new lol.
