installing SSD

I was thinking of installing ssd for  more speed but my laptop only have one slot for storage but my laptop  have drive bay and i hardly use it so i have seen in some youtube video where you remove drive-bay and install ssd there. Will it perform normally or there will be some thresholds> guys please help

You'll need to reinstall windows, if that's what you're asking

it will improve undoubtedly but it also depends on the ssd. Could you tell us which one you intend to buy?
