1080p GPU for a 3600x

AgentL3r

I was planning to use a 2080ti, but then realised that it's absurdly overpowered for 1080p.

My monitors are 75hz, so I'd need to exceed 75 FPS consistantly at 1080p in all titles.

I was planning on a 2070 Super. What others could I go for? I'll be using a 3600x with 32GB RAM.

32gb ram is way overkill. what do you need that for? depending on the game and settings

a gtx 1060 and above will be plenty.

Edit: that means these and above: gtx 1060, 1660 super, 5500xt and above

the 5600 xt has an excellent value. if you care about rtx, get a 2060/2060s.

As said above 32 gb is too much for just gaming. I have a 1070 and it is hitting +75 FPS with mid to high settings.

32GB RAM because I usually have a ton of stuff open, and I also do a lot of CAD/3D modelling/simulations, so it wouldn't hurt. A 1060 is enough? I've been playing a few games and I haven't been able to max out graphics and get a high FPS. GTA V, Watch Dogs 2, mainly open world sandboxes. Any modern title.

I'll look into it, what's it's performance comparable to?

the 5600xt and 2060 have comparable performance. they all perform like 80+ on max settings 1080p also in AAA titles.

Well usually i play GTA V, Red dead redemption 2 all at medium to high settings. But the 1070 is old so I would say 2060 or 2060 super.
