I recently build a new gaming computer, and I got 3200mhz T-force ram, and it was only reading at 2400mhz, my friend told me to go into my bios to make sure my motherboard was set to read at the speed of my rams and I did so and it was, and it still ran at 2400 MHz, and then one of the Ram sticks stopped working all together for a few hours. Should I buy some new ram or is there something else i I could do? I have an asus prime x-570 p motherboard.

Go into your BIOS and turn on DOCP.

If you can't get into the BIOS, you probably have to reset your CMOS, as it may have some old not working RAM speeds installed. See your motherboard manual on how to do that.
