SATA port

Hello Dear community,

So today I was cleaning my PC and somehow managed to break my HDD Power SATA connector (red part in pic1) ... I was really frustrated but I found this extension online (pic2)... So my question is:

Has anyone tried it and will it work as protection for my connector from future breakage when plugging/unplugging my HDD .

This cables works, why not. But if you change your drive very often, just buy internal hdd enclosure like this one:

Just tape it in place with electrical tape. Otherwise even with that adapter the connector will be loose.
