Just started playing WoW

I just installed the trial on my pc to see if I enjoy it and I was wondering if there are some people who'd like to play it with me.

If I enjoy it I will buy the full game and keep playing till it gets boring (Almost impossible with friends).

Dont, you WILL enjoy it, stop it now or you'll never go out again.

Can't be that it's THAT addicting, can it?

I was going to start the trial but I can't think of a good name without numbers that I could use...

Why? Its not even that good...

If you want to loose yourself in an MMO play Eve online, its even more addictive than WoW and 10 times better, Yes the learning curve is steep but why should a slightly complicated and very rich game be a bad thing?

If you do buy it, make sure to find a decent guild of people.

That made my time playing all the more enjoyable, having a decent set of people online to chat with and do stuff with.

As for being addictive, its only as addictive as you let it be. I played about 3 months of in game time over 2 years, which is a lot.

But I only played when I had time, I took months off for exam work and the such. Its not some sort of life sucking thing if you don't let it be.

Wow can be fun, but it can also be a time sink hole, that why people are telling you to get out now before your hooked.

I been playing it since it came out all those year's ago but I have not enjoyed every xpac, but mists is fun and well done.

If you do choose to play you will what to join a guild that will help you out with some stuff but mostly your on your own till you're maxed out and ready to the end game raids if that's your plan.

Here is my top tip, find a populated server! not so long ago I bought a month just to check in and there was no one anywhere.

This worked great for leveling, and getting my professions up to date, but it's really booring to wait in the ques.

As others have mentioned find a maxed out Guild so you get them awesome perks, increased mount speed, rep and xp is nice to have if you're in for the long haul.

It's also nice to have guildmates you can ask for advice on specs, gear, locations etc.

Actually thinking of going back soon and revisit some old raids since you can waltz in solo in the old raids (yeah finally).

I guess good luck, and have fun :D

I said the same thing when I started playing WoW back in 2005. Said I could just stop playing whenever, well 6 years later I was finally able to quit. No other game has ever done that to me. So yes, it is very addicting, especially if it is your first time playing the game.

i found it boring after lvl 30 grindfest and then i hit the month

Same. I mean I've played a lot of MMOs but I really didn't feel like I could get into wow. Maybe I had just gotten a bit bored of typical mmos as a whole.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

That;s the thing with MMO's. There is going to be a grindfest almost 99 out of a 100 games. That is just how MMO's work, if you want cool stuff and levels you'll have to play a lot.
